John Wojewoda (AT&T) Appointed as IO Executive Board Chair

Innovative Operators (IO) is pleased to announce that John Wojewoda, Head of Global Roaming, IoT Partnerships and Satellite at AT&T, has been appointed as the new IO Executive Board Chair. With an extensive background in driving global connectivity and technological innovation, John’s appointment marks a pivotal moment for the IO Community.

John Wojewoda

John leads AT&T’s global roaming strategy by engaging with over 600 Mobile Network Operators to support domestic and international connectivity. His responsibilities span P&L, contracts, carrier relations, product development, technical operations, and wholesale billing, which collectively maintain AT&T’s status as an operator with industry leading global reach. Additionally, John drives international alliances for the company’s IoT business, ensuring enterprise customers enjoy a consistent service across regions, and he spearheads AT&T’s Satellite Solutions to deliver mission-critical services in even the most challenging locations.

Prior to his current role, John successfully led merger integration initiatives at AT&T, streamlining the incorporation of acquired assets and transitioning mobile subscribers to new systems. He also held strategy, engineering and operational leadership roles at Centennial Communications and Bellcore. An MBA graduate from New York University with a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, John combines extensive technical expertise with innovative, forward-thinking leadership, making him a valuable asset in advancing global connectivity solutions.

Innovative Operators

IO brings together Mobile Operators from around the world to review best practices in International Roaming and Interconnect. Having established its member organisation in 2021, IO seeks to support the industry with workshops where mobile operators exchange best practices, IO training, and insights which assist Mobile Operators in strategic decision-making and seeking new opportunities amidst a challenging and disruptive communications environment.
