African Roaming Alliance Lab

What is ARA?

The African Roaming Alliance, ARA, is a group of MNOs that come together to review the entire end to end Roaming Delivery process and see what can be improved to ensure the success of Roaming across African countries and intercontinentally.

Meetings take place every two months. During the sessions, members are asked to contribute and work together to define the workstreams of the lab and set the objectives and action points to tackle each of the challenges mobile operators are facing.

  • Chaired by Bayobab

  • Deputy Chair by Orange

  • MNOs only

  • Large and small operators in Africa

65% of surveyed African Mobile Operators consider that operators outside of Africa don’t have a good understanding of their constraints and challenges
