African operators come together at the African Roaming Alliance Lab (ARA) face-to-face meeting in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, in a 2-day event hosted by Orange Group on October 23rd & 24th, 2024.
- October 23rd & 24th ARA Meeting: Roaming agreements and partnerships, Cost structures, Regulatory frameworks, QoS, Fraud and security, consumer awareness, and education.
- October 24th Roaming Automation Roadshow: A mix of IO.30 Accredited Vendor Presentations who have automation solutions, e.g. FCH, DCH, Roaming Management Solutions, talks from operators, and case studies.
The sessions will be run by the ARA Lab Leadership team: Theresa Adade, Market Management at Bayobab as Chair, and Samba Kouamelan, Head of Roaming & Interworking Test Factory at Orange as Deputy Chair.

Travelling to Abidjan, Ivory Coast
- Foreign nationals must have a passport valid for at least 6 months.
- If you are not an Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) national, you must hold a valid visa or have had your application for an e-visa approved before you travel. But if you are an ECOWAS, you can apply and pay for an e-visa online at least 10 working days before you travel to allow time for your application to be processed. Once it is approved, you will be able to collect your visa on arrival at Abidjan airport.
