Suja John from AT&T joins the IO Executive Board & Advisory Board

It is with great pleasure that IO announces that Suja John, Assistant Vice President at AT&T, joins the IO Executive Board and Advisory Board. Together with Advisory Board Chair Anis Mbarek from Vodafone, Suja will spearhead efforts to advance the Roaming Development Goals (RDGs) established by the Executive Board. IO also wants to express our gratitude to Cameron Dunn (AT&T) for his valuable contributions and wishes him the very best in his new responsibilities within AT&T. We appreciate his dedication and look forward to witnessing his continued success in his new endeavours.

Suja John

Suja John is currently an Assistant Vice President in the AT&T Technology Operations organization, leading the team responsible for Global Roaming Product Development, Network Implementation and Operations across 600+ operators in 200+ countries using LTE/5G/Wi-fi/CBRS/Satellite Direct to Cell technologies.

Prior to this role, she was the CTO of the AT&T FirstNet program in AT&T Business responsible for the architecture, planning and design of the Dedicated FirstNet Network and Mission Critical services as well defining the long-term strategy & evolution of the network.

Before joining AT&T Business, Suja was a director in AT&T Labs, where she led the team that defined AT&T’s network solution & strategy, culminating in the 6.5B award to AT&T to build and operate the public safety network. She also oversaw the team responsible for technology realization of cross-carrier interoperability and managed the launch of several consumer and enterprise mobility services.

Suja began her telecommunication career with British Telecommunication in Dubai, UAE and has extensive global experience in technology innovation, strategic planning, business development, Network Operations and Customer Care.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering and a MBA in Marketing. Suja is the recipient of several excellence awards including the Women of Color STEM Technology Rising Star Award. Suja is currently based in Herndon, VA about 25 miles from Washington DC. In her spare time, she likes to mentor, read, invest, and travel the world.
