Announcing the ARA Lab Chair: Atim Akeh-Osu from MTN GlobalConnect

The African Roaming Alliance Lab officially announced its Chair during the ARA#2 meeting on September 14th. Atim Akeh-Osu, International Roaming and Wholesale Manager at MTN GlobalConnect in Nigeria, will be leading the Lab to ensure it meets the objectives that were set by its members. During the session, Atim was introduced to her colleagues in her new position and she already started listening to the members’ concerns, defining a roadmap to start working on the workstreams that had been voted by the delegates.

“My motivation is drawn from my two decades of roaming experience and interactions with colleagues on a global scale. I am process driven with a deep-rooted passion for the telecoms roaming business and its technicalities and therefore challenged by its limitless possibilities.”

Atim is a strategic and analytic professional with more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunication industry crafting and implementing strategies for International Roaming, Project Management, Carrier and Customer Relations. Well-versed in the operational, contractual, and commercial dynamics of Roaming, Network planning, B2B relationships, commercial acumen in creating innovative ideas to business needs, ensuring operational and service excellence with strict compliance to regulations. Her experience in the telecoms sector also includes other operators such as Econet Wireless, Vodacom, Celtel and Zain.
