The African Roaming Alliance appoints Samba Kouamelan, Head of Roaming & Interworking Test Factory at Orange, as the new ARA Lab Deputy Chair. Former ARA Lab Deputy Chair, Gideon Ndogo from Safaricom, fulfilled his term after 2 years of supporting and contributing to the community of mobile operators in the African region with great passion. Samba will work closely with Theresa Adade from MTN GlobalConnect (ARA Lab Chair) and the Lab members to achieve the objectives defined in the ARA Work Plan.
“Implement the change and embrace the new technologies like Volte, M2M, 5G etc. via network deployment and testing must be addressed together. At the moment, we are only Roaming partner, now with ARA (African Roaming Alliance) it is time to become a community. I’m very excited to partner with Theresa Adade from MTN on the achievement of this goal. I believe that together, we will be able to address all the upcoming challenges.”
