Announcing the ARA Lab Chair: Theresa Adade from MTN GlobalConnect

The African Roaming Alliance appoints Theresa Adade, Market Manager at MTN GlobalConnect, as the new ARA Lab Chair. Former ARA Lab Chair, Atim Akeh-Osu, fulfilled her term after 2 years having consolidated a united community of mobile operators in the African region for Theresa to continue to develop. Theresa will work closely with the Lab members to achieve the objectives defined in the ARA Work Plan.

Theresa Adade possesses extensive experience in the field of Roaming. Her current professional role involves collaborating with MTN Opcos to facilitate International Voice, SMS, Roaming, and other new services. She has previously served with prominent organizations such as Millicom under the Tigo brand, Airtel Ghana, Vodafone Ghana, and 9mobile Nigeria formerly known as Etisalat Nigeria.

During her tenure with these organizations, she played a vital role in expanding roaming services and international voice. Her experience is comprehensive, spanning across both technical and commercial aspects of roaming, and she has been involved in leading several initiatives to drive the roaming ecosystem. Besides, Theresa is passionate about cooking and traveling.

It’s with great pleasure that IO welcomes Theresa Adade to the team, and thanks Atim Akeh-Osu for her hard work and accomplishments as the first ARA Lab Chair. ARA is a space where African operators’ voices can be heard, no matter what their concerns might be, this platform will allow them to have a place of reference where to go for knowledge sharing.
