The M2M Roaming Lab appoints Azad Singh, Chief Global Mobility Solutions at Reliance Jio India, as the new Deputy Chair. We thank Lars Amdisen from Telenor, former M2M Lab Deputy Chair, for his great contributions in laying the foundations of this Lab. Azad will work closely with Didier Durand (Orange) to achieve the objectives defined in the M2M Roaming Lab Work Plan.

Azad is an engineer by profession with 22+ years of strong product and operational experience at various management positions in Asia and North America, he holds an engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from National Institute of Technology Jalandhar, India and management from McGill Desautels Canada. He is responsible for international partnerships for Jio from the technical and business points of view to support their footprints in India over 4G/5G, M2M and WiFi technologies. Partners ranging from MNOs, Manufacturing powerhouses, etc. Azad was instrumental to launch India’s first international M2M (NB-IoT) interconnect.
As a Board member of WBA (Wireless Broadband Alliance), Azad is involved in Open roaming and M2M initiatives. He is also APAC Chair of the Digital Industries forum at GSMA.
It’s with great pleasure that IO welcomes Azad Singh to the team, and thanks Lars Amdisen for his accomplishments as the first M2M/IoT Lab Deputy Chair. M2M Roaming Lab is a space for mobile operators to leverage the new opportunities M2M/IoT presents.
