The 5G Roaming Lab, 5GRL for short, is part of IO’s Accelerator Programme. This Lab aims to tackle all the challenges mobile operators globally are having in the rollout of 5G Roaming. Discussions on Service Level Agreements, Networks Slices, Quality, IOT Negotiations and Charging Models, amongst others, take place during the sessions. MNOs from all regions, small and large, have a space to come together and collaborate.
The kick off session was held on July 13th, including inputs from BT and AT&T. During the meeting, delegates debated which are the workstreams the lab should start developing: VoNR, use cases, charging models, devices and network slicing are some of them.
The second session takes place on September 21st at 2 pm CET. New delegates can register by completing the registration form here below.
The nominations for the Chair position of the 5GRL Lab will be open until September 1st. To submit a nomination, simply contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
