Najib Khan from Ooredoo, new member of the IO Executive Board

As part of the preparations for its fourth meeting in Paris, the IO Executive Board welcomes Najib Khan, Ooredoo Group Chief Business Services Officer, as the new member of the Executive Board.

Since the launch of IO in April 2021, the non-profit member organisation has focused on Roaming and Interconnect, receiving great recognition from the industry through mobile operator engagement. Roaming Projects that previously lacked focus and collaboration are now better equipped through IO labs. IO Labs has helped numerous operators to increase their awareness, be more in tune and further engage in promoting and prioritising significant roaming projects.

“The rapid advancements in the mobile technologies have crossed over from basic mobile voice, data & messaging for consumers to enabling industrial automation processes using 5G and IoT. This has resulted in huge opportunities for the MNOs to play a central role in any transformational agenda across all industry segments. Innovative Operators is an ideal forum to build through cooperation and sharing of information between peers to harness this potential through experimentation and dialogue using the Accelerator labs for 5G, VoLTE and IoT roaming and connectivity labs. We can leverage our diverse footprint to add valuable insights to enrich the discussions at IO and in the same vein give back to our industry which is dear to all of us”.
