Bénédicte David from Orange, new member of the Executive Board
Ahead of the second meeting of the Executive Board of IO in Cologne, IO is pleased to announce Bénédicte David, EVP Wholesale Line of Business at Orange, as the new member of the Executive Board.
Since the launch of IO in April 2021, the non-profit member organisation has focused on Roaming and Interconnect, receiving great recognition from the industry through mobile operator engagement. Roaming Projects that previously lacked focus and collaboration are now better equipped through IO labs. IO Labs has helped numerous operators to increase their awareness, be more in tune and further engage in promoting and prioritising significant roaming projects.

Roaming has been and will be facing unprecedented challenges, that will require more and more agility and speed to react in the interest of operators as well as their customers. Therefore, collaboration between operators sharing same professionalism and dedication and leveraging diversity of skills and experiences is even more essential to ultimately be more efficient collectively and protect our industry.”
Bénédicte David
Ms. David graduated from the French school «Ecole Normale Supérieure – ENS» (Paris) with a specialization in Physics.
She also holds a Master’s degree in telecommunications at ParisTech College (Paris) as well as an executive certificate in business management at CEDEP executive management school (Fontainebleau, France).
She joined the Orange Group in September 1989 and dedicated her entire career to accompanying the key evolutions of the company. She occupied multiple senior management positions at Orange France, then in Orange Group Innovation division, including the launch of Innovation Centers dedicated to Middle East & Africa Orange affiliates. She then moved up in 2015 to Orange Middle East & Africa zone (OMEA) as Head of Strategy & Customer experience, and than in September 2016, as Head of the West and Central Africa Zone in charge of 6 OMEA affiliates, a position that led her to become Board members of all these affiliates as well as Chairman of the Board of Orange Cameroun and Orange Central African Republic.
In October 2020, she joined Orange Wholesale and International Network division in charge of wholesale line of business for all international Orange Affiliates in Europe and Middle East & Africa. She is now also a Board member of Orange Polska.
