Announcing the VRL Deputy Chair: Jerome Hardouin from Orange
The VoLTE Roaming Lab welcomes Jerome Hardouin, Information Systems & Operations Director at Orange, as the new Deputy Chair. During the third IO Plenary taking place in Dubai on November 15th, 16th, and 17th, it was announced that Jerome was joining the VRL Leadership team with Matthew Bisoffi from CKH IOD as the Chair.
“When I took my position one year ago, VoLTE roaming happened to be my very first topic of focus. I rapidly experienced the complexity and challenges faced by operators, but also the opportunities from a business and customer standpoint. Innovative Operators is bringing a forum operators need, in sharing experience and building common approaches, of course in relation with the GSMA. I am excited to join Matthew as Deputy Chair, with my DNA to tackle collectively concrete topics, step by step, and deliver value for operators and for end users. As business and technologies are moving always faster, I believe the world of roaming needs to be very pragmatic by simplifying process together, and adopting disruptive approaches when they make sense.”
Jerome Hardouin
Jérôme has held various positions within Orange Group: he was first heading IT Infrastructure Operations in Orange France, before joining Orange Business Services for 10 years in Customer Services & Operations, leading Service Operations activities and transformation programs. He is driven by creating added value, through collaboration across organizations. He joined Orange Wholesale & International Networks division one year ago, as Roaming Information Systems & Operations Director in the Wholesale Line of Business. Jérôme holds an IT engineer degree.
It’s with great pleasure that IO welcomes Jerome Hardouin to the team. The VoLTE Roaming Lab, formerly known as the VoLTE Roaming Taskforce, was established in November 2019. Since its creation, this group only had MNOs members with Verizon as the chair. It features MNOs from all over the world who collaborate on initiatives to support the delivery of VoLTE Roaming amid challenges like Emergency Calls, Device Manufacturers and Lawful Intercept.
